1. Julee had 23 candies. Her brother gave her 31 candies. How many candies did julee have now altogether?

Solution:

Number of candies Julee had = 23

Number of candies given by her brother = 31

So, Total number of candies Julee have = 23 + 31 candies = 54 candies.

2. Sam gets 34 marks in the first test. He gets 43 marks in the second test. How many marks does Sam get in all?

Solution:

Number of marks Sam gets in the 1st test = 34

Number of marks Sam gets in the 2nd test = 43

So, total number of marks Sam gets in all = 34 + 43 marks = 77 marks

3. Kes has 41 pens. His brother Sam has 36 pens. How many pens do they have altogether?

Solution:

4. If one number is 33 and the other number is 50. Find the sum of those two numbers?

5. There are 49 men and 30 women in a room. How many people are there in the room in all?

Solution:

Number of men in the room = 49

Number of women in the room = 30

So, total number of people in the room = 49 + 30 = 79.

6. Sam scored 48 runs in the 1st match and 41 in the 2nd match in the inter-school games. Find the total number of runs scored by Sam in the two matches.

Solution:

In the 1st Match, Sam Scored 48 runs

In the 2nd Match, Sam Scored 41 runs

8. There are 43 coconut trees and 46 mango trees in a garden. How many trees are there?

Solution:

No of coconut trees in the garden = 43

No of mango trees in the garden = 46

So, Total number of trees = 43 + 46 = 89

9. John scored 52 marks in English class test and 36 marks in mathematics class test. How many marks John scored in both the tests together?

Solution:

Scored marks in English test = 52

Scored marks in mathematics test = 36

So, John scored in both the tests together = 52 + 36 = 88

10. In a School festival Sam sold 60 tickets for a play on the 1st day. She sold 35 tickets on the 2nd day. How many tickets Sam sold in both the days together?

Solution:

No of tickets was sold by Sam in 1st day = 60

No of tickets was sold by Sam in 2nd day = 35

So, no of tickets was sold by Sam in both the das together = 60 + 35 = 95.
