Addition of Tens
What is Addition of Tens?
When one group of objects represents 10 and the sum of such different groups is called Addition of Tens.
There are two houses. There are 10 people inside every house.
So, how many people are there (inside two houses) in total?
Solution:
1 house people + 1 house people
= 1 ten + 1 ten
= 2 ten
= 20
There are 20 people in total.

Addition
process of two tens:
It’s simple, add only the tens placed values of the numbers and
put 0 in ones place of the sum.
Example: 10 + 30
Here, The tens placed value’s sum = 1 + 3 = 4.
Now put 0 after 4, that is 40.
So, the sum is 40.
10 + 30 = 40.
